General Membership Meeting Saturday, April 9, 2022 10 am

The Agenda for the General Membership Meeting Saturday, April 9, 2022, as prepared by The Recording Secretary, Dayna McCumber, has been sent to CUPE 5678 emails.

Any additions to the agenda must reach the CUPE Office by Wednesday, March 25, 2022.

Additions can be sent via email to info@cupe5678.ca and you will receive email confirmation back within 24 hours of a regularly scheduled work day that your addition was received.

You can attend the April 9th, 2022  General Membership Meeting in person at Brockville Collegiate or online via TEAMS.

If you are attending virtually, you must pre-register prior to the start of the meeting or you will not be able to join once the meeting starts at 10 am.

Registration is required to ensure verification as a Member in Good Standing.

The CUPE National Constitution has laid out the requirements of being a member in good standing to fully participate in union activities.

Only members in good standing can attend and vote at union meetings.

The initiation fee has been waived until June 30, 2022. If you have not submitted your Member in Good Standing form, please do so asap.

There are 2 Draws at Meetings

  • $100  Attendance Draw.  There is one name drawn from all members in attendance for $100.00
  • Member Engagement Draw.  The first Member Engagement Draw was held January 19, 2019.  It started at $100.00 All CUPE member names are put into the draw.  If you are in attendance, you win.  If you are not in attendance, the $100 is carried over to the next meeting.  The draw at the GMM Saturday April 9th will be for $1,000.00.  All CUPE members ( currently 1,524 CUPE members) will have their name put into the draw and if your name is drawn and you are in attendance, you win $1,000.00.  If you are not in attendance, the $100 goes towards the next meeting.
